My Experience At The Summer Fields and Poetry festival

Come winter and its celebration time all over India. There was an alumni meet at Summer Fields School in Kailash Colony on the 2nd of this month. Being a Summerite I went there. It felt strange within.
Amongst the energized atmosphere charged with the cultural show, I reminisced about my childhood days. It was difficult to believe I ran in those corridors and playfields as a child.
Then there was a festival of poetry at the India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road last weekend on the 10th and 11th of December. It was wonderful to be amongst the many eminent poets singing Heer as well as reciting Eliot-like abstract poetry.
Since we have a larger amphitheatre in our Wishtown than the one at Habitat, I wonder why we are not making use of it for community get-togethers and merry-making. Many of us have expertise in our respective fields of Literature and Arts, and we should use that to bring Wishtown residents and especially kids together and share our knowledge.
I, for one, am open to residents connecting with me to initiate such activity in either of the societies. Let’s have our own Wishtown Festival!
