After a long spell of COVID restrictions, we got a chance to celebrate GURUPURAB with all festivities. A three-day celebration, the rituals were held from 6th to 8th Nov On 7th Nov the Hazuri Ragis – Bhai Davinder Singh from Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar did the divine kirtan. It was followed by langar to all the Sangat. It was a pleasure to see the whole of the Gurudwara campus lit up at night.
Within the campus of Nanaksar is a school – GURU NANAK GARIB NIWAJ where free education is imparted to underprivileged kids. On 7th of November morning, GURUPURAB was celebrated on the school premises with various activities highlighting the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It was followed by a celebratory LANGAR. It has been a heartwarming experience to be able to celebrate with fervor after two years ever since the Pandemic struck. The gurudwara has always risen to each and every occasion serving people, spreading peace and happiness, and carrying the message of love and oneness to all.
