This year our nation proudly celebrated its 77th Independence day. Every year we collectively feel proud of our nation’s independence; we try to show it in small ways throughout the nation whether it be in the form of putting up flags in our homes or doing live performances which represent our nation’s struggles.
This 15th August was like any other day except for the fact that we could taste the patriotism in the air. The flag hosting event has been a staple of the Independence Day celebration at Boulevard; while it may sound simple to do, our hardworking security trained themselves so that they could complete the event without a hitch.
On the auspicious day, our society had put up a beautiful tent which served as a seating area for all the elders who wanted to experience the event firsthand. The flag hoisting was followed by stellar performances from talents which ranged from fashion walk to choreographed dances.
Boulevard also awarded children who had achieved excellence in the field of sports and dance and also organized a special event for the elders.This Independence Day, like all others, gave us a way to express our love for our nation as a collective group.
