The occurrence of four burglaries within 15 days is alarming. In broad daylight, at B-166 inverter batteries from parking area were stolen; from B-276 items like a printer and speakers; from B-289 a battery. The details of the theft at B-134 remain unknown. While this article was getting written, resident of C-8, informed that 1 week ago 3 taps were stolen from her garden and servant washroom including her name plate.
These incidents suggest that the culprits are opportunistic (small time thieves), targeting objects that can be easily transported in broad daylight, confident in their ability to evade arrest. However, this pattern poses a significant risk, as their growing boldness could lead to more serious crimes.
With the ongoing Sewer work, more open gates and the New Security agency, we are at high risk. It’s imperative for all of us to remain alert and vigilant to deter any further security lapses.
P.S. At the time this article was sent for printing, RWCS security convenor Anil Aeron was out of station to comment.
