July 14, 2023 is a Special Day for Ram Vihar, as it marks the 28th anniversary of our Society. Ram Vihar came into being on July 14, 1995. In order to share the joy and happiness with our residents, on such a big achievement, the BoM organised a wide range of activities. Chabeel (traditional Punjabi drink) was planned. Chabeel is a pink coloured sweet beverage which is very soothing and relieves one from the scorching heat. It is made of Rooh Afza, milk, water, sugar and a lot of ice. This was served inside the campus to all residents, staff and domestic workers. Later it was shifted outside the gate to serve the outsiders and passersby. There were many volunteers helping, irrespective of their age. On July 14 (Friday) and July 15 (Saturday) at 11.30 am, tree plantation was conducted by the residents and children of Ram Vihar respectively. The names of the volunteers who planted the saplings were also put on a name plate along with the plant. To mark the 28th inauguration day, 28 plants were planted in and around the front lawn.
