The sprawling lawns of Lukshmi Villas Palace, a majestic back drop,Vintage Cars of yesteryears, passion and pride of the owners, Grandeur and Opulence, all came together to create a Historic Heritage Motoring display, at the the 10th edition of the 21 Gun Salute Concours d’Elegance in Vadodara.
The Vintage car rally, an event which has till now graced Gurgaon and NCR, was held this year in Vadodara. A three day event , with participants from 27 countries, along with Car afficionados from across India, had a total of 200 vintage cars & bikes on display.
The flag off was done on 5th January, from Lukshmi Vilas Palace, from where 75 Vintage Cars drove all the way to ‘ the Statue of Unity’ and back. The cars were on display for two days, 6th & 7th for public viewing, followed by the Award ceremony on the 8th afternoon.
In the words of Mr. Madan Mohan, chairman and managing trustee, 21 Gun Salute Heritage and Cultural Trust that organized the show : “It was an amalgamation of splendid automobiles with India’s rich heritage and culture. It was an honour to organize this exhibition where the participants didn’t just bring the cars but fascinating stories behind them too. ” He took pride in announcing yet another grand celebration of Indian heritage which will go down in history as an exclusive heritage motoring fiesta.
