This time grand celebration was done in Maxblis White House Society.
The children gave a beautiful message to residents by displaying boards in their hands for ‘Save water save life’ and ‘Say no to plastic bags’. The flag hoisting was done by senior citizen Prem Shankar Singhal who is a retired bank officer, in central park followed by Rashtra Gaan. After that a short speech was given by Prem Shankar Singhal on the importance of our Independence Day. An oath letter was read for society residents about saving our earth from polythene and a pledge to save water by the author of this write up. Cultural programme was organised by volunteers Sneha and Swati . Anchoring was coordinated and done wonderfully by 3 young kids of the society highlighting their superb talent. Finally the prize distribution was done for winners and runners of badminton, table tennis, carom and extempore which was organised by the Society Citizen groups w.e.f August 1 onwards.
Prize distribution was done by our respected senior citizen and retired army officer Col K K Saxena. I thank all our senior citizen group members to have organised the tournaments and R C Gadi, R P Singh. Jadish Kumar Nagpal, Ratan Singh, DP Khatri, SOmkar Basra and all other members who gave their valuable time to make tournament success. I also want to thank all AOA members and Y G Estate team to have given their full support for helping in tournaments. Finally snacks, tea and sweets were distributed. All residents fully enjoyed August 15, the national festival and children were very happy to see grand celebration this year.
