The Republic Day celebration area on the rear lawns of the Club was nicely decorated in the tri-colours. The event began with a brief speech by RWA President Inderjit Sial.
He talked about our past-President and the Guest of Honour, SP Bagla, and his great contribution to 15A during his tenure as President of the RWA and the Club.
The national flag was unfurled both by SP Bagla and his wife Uma Bagla. The event organized together by RWA and Club 15A saw a very diverse and inclusive participation with as small as 3 years old kids and learned senior citizens.
The air of enthusiasm was not at all marred by the chilling wind even though a very large section of residents arrived only after the flag was unfurled. The audience participated with passion and love for the Motherland. The spirit of unity was displayed in a well-coordinated programme by the cultural committee of the RWA.
After the National Anthem, President Inderjit Sial announced that as Sector 15A was awarded the Cleanest Sector of Noida, the RWA committee had decided to honour all our Vatavaran and supporting staff. Every member of the staff was called by name to the podium to receive honours.
Everyone enjoyed delicious guavas, hot tea and the lunch arranged by the RWA and the Club.
The collective effort of all the organizers, participants and the great audience truly showed a spirit of unity for the nation.
